Our Story

A little wisdom in every bite

How Indian street food ended up beside a proper flat white in Ashford.

Soneva Delights was born from a simple idea: the food we grew up loving on the streets of India deserves a place beside a proper flat white. So we built one café in the heart of Ashford that honours both worlds — honest Indian street food and mithai on one counter, barista coffee, chai and cakes on the other. Always 100% vegetarian.

Our street food is made fresh through the day — samosas folded and fried, chaats built to order so the papdi still crackles — and the mithai counter changes with the seasons and festivals. Because wisdom also means looking after the people you feed, we cook with less salt, less sugar and less fat, without losing any of the flavour. Vegan, vegetarian or just curious — there's a seat here for you.

Indian soul

Chaats, samosas and mithai made the way home makes them.

Café craft

Barista coffee, masala chai and shakes — brewed with care.

Mindful making

Less salt, less sugar, less fat — flavour first, always.

The name
Sonevaa
/ soh·nay·vah / · noun

Wisdom. The knowledge passed down through generations — of spice, of patience, of feeding people well. It's in our name because it's in everything we make: recipes learned at our mothers' and grandmothers' sides, brought to Ashford and made fresh every morning.
